it is with wonderful pleasure we can announce that the Glastonbury Snooker Club will be re opening very soon. It is planned that the 9th of July is our reopening date but to ensure it stays open and you are all able to enjoy playing snooker once more we MUST ensure certain strict but essential rules to ensure the safety of our members and our staff.
Firstly we ask that all bookings be made by text or phone if possible date time of arrival and time of departure to be made by members of the Glastonbury Snooker Club first then non members which will be confirmed to ensure that no unnecessary danger can be added by people walking in unannounced thus for putting themselves and others at risk.
For now we ask that only two players occupy a table at a time at least until things improve.
Please do not enter the club until your allotted time. If you arrive early please wait on our terrace upstairs where we will be pleased to serve you whilst you wait (weather-permitting ).
Tables, balls and rests will be cleaned by a member of staff after every booking has ended.
We ask that you clean your hands before and after using the tables and entering and leaving the Club, being a small premises I’m sure you will all understand how important these very small simple but effective things are. WE CANT TAKE ANY CHANCES. If you wish to wear a mask to ensure further safety please do.
Each player will use their own rest which will be colour tagged for ease.
The bar will be open to you all as normal but we ask that no more than two people come up to the bar ensuring a 1 meter distance at a time. There will also be a form of table service to simplify the matter.
You can pay by either card or cash no credit (tabs) of any kind will be given TO ANYONE for the foreseeable future.
Finally we are so looking forward to seeing our members and friends again. But we must enforce these rules to ensure we can continue to enjoy our Club and our Snooker. In time things WILL improve and we will once more be able to gather together, but until then we must be cautious and sensible.
Thank you all for your support.
